The Law Commission has been asked to review the Friendly Societies Acts of 1974 and 1992, to ensure that they fit the nature and needs of friendly societies and that the regulation is proportionate and predictably certain.
The Commission’s consultation paper was published recently and as part of its consultation process, the Commission’s review team will meet with the APPG for Mutuals as follows:
